These BBQ Chicken Burgers are one of my favorite burgers to make anytime of the year. They are full of flavor, go together quickly and can even be made ahead in the morning left in the fridge and cooked when you get home. They don’t dry out when you cook them either and pair well with a side of fries and this Cucumber Salad.
The ingredients you will need are.
Place everything in a bowl and gently mix together. When making meatballs or burgers never over mix it makes the meat tougher, just enough to blend everything evenly.
Shape the mixture into patties, we do four good size burgers but you can make smaller ones like slider size or even do three larger ones.
Add oil to a large skillet and heat over medium high heat. I’ve been using avocado oil lately and like much better than olive oil.
Once the oil is preheated add the patties….
I cook them for about 3 minutes on the first side and then flip them to cook another three minutes. I turn every three minutes until cooked through so they don’t get to dark on one side. It’s just like cooking a regular burger but I cook them inside because the chicken is a little more tender and I don’t want it to fall apart on the grill.
Then serve with your favorite toppings on a toasted bun.
