Oreo Truffles

Hey Guys!!

Can you believe Christmas is just over a week away!! Where has December gone? I have been busy getting ahead on my baking and making some sweet treats for cookie platters. One of my oldest sons favorite treats that I make this time of year is these super easy Oreo Truffles from Kraft Recipes.

I’ve been making these for years and they’re so simple to put together, a little messy to make but definitely worth it!

Oreo Truffles

Adapted from Kraft Recipes

1 Package Oreo cookies

1 8oz package of cream cheese softened

1 tspn vanilla extract

4 (8 ounce) bars semi-sweet chocolate

Crush cookies to fine crumbs using your food processor or place in zip-loc bag crush with a rolling pin.

Place cookie crumbs in a medium bowl. Add softened cream cheese and vanilla; mix until well blended with a hand mixer. Roll cookie mixture into balls, about 1-inch in diameter. Let chill in fridge until firm.

Melt Chocolate.

Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax or parchment paper-covered baking sheet. Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs or festive sprinkles.

Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.

These are great to take for a dessert to a Holiday party or to serve on the dessert table for Christmas dinner.
