Hey Guys,
We’ve been working on redoing the boys bathrooms and getting rid of the colors from the previous owners that don’t match our style. These bathrooms have no natural light and are not very spacious so my goal was to brighten them up by choosing the right paint color, it took me about ten paint samples to find the perfect one.
I chose the same color for both of the bathrooms, Icy by Sherwin Williams. It’s a nice airy blue which brings a brightness to these spaces that have no windows or natural light.
In this post I’m going to share with you the before and afters of the boys full bathroom, I just love how this space turned out. It’s amazing what changing the paint color, light fixture and adding some decor can do for a small space.
The original color was a pumpkin spice orange and really gave the bathroom a tomb like feel.
Here are the before photos…..
Below are some photos I took right after we finished painting before I added the decor, I just love this new paint color, it was exactly what I had in mind for this space.
The light fixture is from Home Depot and you can find it here.
I decided to stick to a nice classic theme for this space, it’s a bathroom that a teenager and preteen share and I wanted it to reflect that.
One thing my oldest asked for as far as decor was a clock so he could be aware of what time it is in the mornings when he’s in the shower and getting ready for school.
I bought this clock at Target a few years ago for my living room until I switched it out for a different one. I knew I wanted to use it somewhere else at some point because I just love the look of it.
I decided to use it as a fun focal point when you look into the room, this exact clock is no longer available but this one is similar.
I was thrilled when I found this towel bar with the enclosed shelf, it’s perfect to hold wash clothes and this adorable “Hello Handsome” sign I found both of them at Hobby Lobby.
All the towels except the wash cloths in this space are from LLBean and I can’t recommend them enough, they hold up so nicely. The wash cloths I picked up at HomeGoods.
Behind the door is a towel rack for the boys to hang their shower towels on, this was already in this space but you can find something similar here.
I just love the new look of this space, it’s has a clean open feeling which is exactly what I was going for in this small space along with a simple theme for two boys who don’t care about all the extra decor.
It’s amazing how changing a paint color can give a space a whole different look! I can’t wait to share the other spaces we’re currently working on so make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss any future posts.
