You know I love my basics, in fact most of my outfits revolve around them. I’m always in search of the perfect basic tee and when I find one I love, I buy it in all my favorite colors.
While this is not my holy grail t-shirt because of some minor flaws (which I really wish Madewell would fix )I really love some things about this under $20 t-shirt
The sizing is odd, they definitely run shorter then a lot of my other t-shirts, I tried sizing up to get more length only to have the length remain the same and the shirt be wider. I’m wearing a small for reference.
They get lots of little holes after a short amount of time, I first purchased these the Summer of 2017 and within a month I had one with a hole in it. They also get threadbare in some spots which in a way is a plus if you like the burnout style. The irony of this of course is the name of the brand….’Madewell’.
One thing I love about these v-neck tees is the neckline doesn’t go ridiculously low like on some t-shirts I’ve purchased over the years. It’s nice to be able to bend down to pick something up without flashing the whole world.
I also love the sleeve length on these Madewell shirts, not to short, not to long just perfect!
For the price point I would definitely recommend this t-shirt but would suggest you wash them on the gentle cycle and air dry them to help them last longer. Thats how I take care of mine and I’ve managed to get two summers out of them.
